Turbo Technics Stage 1 T2 Turbo
« on: 11:10, Sun 24 April 2011 »
alright guys ive been offerd a Turbo Technics Stage 1 T2 Turbo, brand new for a pretty fair price, just woundering what kinda power u can get from em, cos it sais on cgb that u can only get about 150bhp, and my raiders proberbly running between 165-85bhp (maybe) and will be hopefully looking to get just over 200, i get a little lost in the world of turbos, with all diffrent sizes and what not, so if any one can help me out would be awsome

nice one  :D

Is this just not a normal T2? Or maybe a T2 with upgraded thrust bearings?

Either way i'm not sure this turbo is suitable for 200BHP.

its this one http://www.cgbmotorsport.net/turbo-tech ... -996-p.asp i think its pretty bog standard one,

what will happen if i try and run this?? will it not hold the boost, or just not produce the boost for the power levels, the guys wants 150 for it, he sais its never been used and was brought new from bob

It'll run any boost but will work out of its effective power band, basically you'll be working it too hard and it'll produce alot of heat so inlet charge temps will be way too high also you have good chance of killing the bearings and wheels quickly.

inlet charges getting hot,, is that the heat soak on the air filter (im runnig the cold air induction thourgh the morrets), or just the turbo getting uber hot and the air getting hot as it passes though it?

thanks :)
