need help again!!!!

i have ripped the heat sheild off from round my fuel tank as it was rotten!!

i caught it on the top of my drive and it just fell off haha!!

i have a side exit on the car and wondered do i really need the heat shield or can i just wrap the exhaust in heat wrap as i dont fancy drilling that close to the fuel tank!!!

Just wrap it mate  :wink:  It'll probably still be fine as it is with the sidey.

im not gonna wrap it all just the bit were its close to fuel tank!

TBH I have a normal rear exit exhaust and my heat shield fell off years ago.

My exhaust gets mega hot though and dont want it to melt the tank as its only plastic
