Finding my old car
« on: 18:49, Tue 01 March 2011 »
Hi Guys and Girls

Probably a bit of a long shot. But does anyone have or know of, a Red 5 Turbo from the Manchester area - G233 ONB. It was first registered on 1 Aug 1989 and I bought it on 12 Sep 1991 keeping it for 6.5 years until 13 March 1998.
Car was completely standard when I had it.

thanks very much

Cheers guys. Thought it was a long shot, it had 64k on the clock when I sold. At least it lasted another 6 years.
Last time I saw it, it was still at the dealers I traded in. In their car park at the back collecting dust etc. Hated seeing it like that.
I live in Shetland now and I still think the 5 would be quicker down the single track roads than my Focus despite the obvious power deficit due to its light weight and agility

Doesn't necessarily mean the car is dead and gone as mine is currently sorn on the database but looks like the tax is due (can't remember the date June I think), and doesn't actually show up on there as sorn.
I know someone who's car has been off road since 1997 and his car is showing on there as date of liability 1997 and he still has the car?! Not sure why exactly. Your car could still be out there somewhere!
