Dimma Track Project
« on: 22:26, Mon 28 February 2011 »
After selling my last 5 gt..... i have been craving another gt turbo....... which has left me dreaming and has lead me to getting my mits on a 1988 gt-t... fitted with a metal dimma kit (rare as most people call there cheap fibreglass copys Dimmas but this is a metal  80's jobbie)but in a no tax no mot state.... got it off a guy who was on here.... im gonna throw abt £3-5k at it in the next year and see what happens

Now my last 5 looked like this

very standard with ronals and a few engine tweekes

now then i know dimma kits done the wrong way can look v chav..... so i am looking to re do pretty much everything on this car.... im thinking white.... pretty much stripped with painted cage and black race seats and harness and a few engine tweeks/ refurbishments so its running about 160-170 bhp.... moted yet mainly fo trackdays due to company car, i am to find new split rims too as a previous owner of this car scrapped the original rims fo £30 (nutter)

this is going to be a long project... wish me luck!!!!!!

ALSO ANY SPARES IN THE NORTHWEST AREA U ANT RID OFF LET ME KNOW I MAY BE INTERESTED :)

yeah that was it... fingers crossed as i fell in love with the idea of a gleaming white trackcar that screams 80s power!!! its a mess at mo and needs atention in few areas however i have sen worse 5s about conditionwise.......

just glad i work at a nissan/renault dealership so parts will be ok as its missing lots and i have few contacts paintwise so hopefully professional job wont cost me the earth.....

first step is gttin it through a mot but hopefully i can do most of that work myself.... il aim for test pass before lets say... oooo errmmm august if work stays this busy i havent got anytime to get to my lock up!!!
