Thanks Baz, I got the brakes from a guy who rallies various cars, they were on a kit car that got built, stood for ages, never got used so got stripped down.
Im well pleased with them, the quality is spot on. There alot lighter than the originals too.

Its a shame the pistons have to go inside the engine lol, I might make a clear inspection window in the block  :lol:

very cool dean ,like you say even lighter and better than standards,you running big discs aswell?

i know mate it is a shame that you cant see all the shiney internals ,but at least you photgraphed them before they go in ,my l&b knife edged crank was the same had to take pics of it before it was hidden ,would be good to get some pics of the engine build going!!!!

They were standard pistons that have been machined down which went in the engine, not forged items.

Dean mate should of asked, i'd of took some pics when i built the engine up for you. It was a fairly basic engine build though, just freshened up with new bearings, ground crank, skimmed head and the new low comp pistons with new rings.

Ive had the same from Andy, I think ive burnt myself out over the last few weeks so really needed a rest. I still have tiling to do and the front coilovers to fit to the Golf.  :shock:

It will be running soon..... very soon!! :twisted:

Right then, had a few hours spare this afternoon so thought I would start on the engine install. Dispite it being gale force ten and raining I managed to make some progress.......

Gave it a little paint again



Engine bay cleaned




A few hours later.....




Just need to fill with oil and water
