ok I got some good info on this car :

He used a set of stock renault wheels 5,5" ET36 and had them enlarged, only on the outside. So the inside distance from mouting point to the suspention stays exactly the same!
I did the math and this is what came up :
front : 7" : 10,59cm inside (kept), so 7,19cm outside which now gives
ET17 rear 8" : 10,59cm inside (kept), so 9,73 cm outside which now gives
ET05 (4,3mm between middle of the wheel and the mouting plate)
Seems to work on his f1, so I'm still wondering what possibilties are out there.
Maybe we should do some tests on several wheel/tire sizes :mrgreen:
