Corsa VXR, can we beat them?

One of my GIRLFRIENDS MATES who is my age (19) has just bought a corsa vxr  :cry: lol, how quick are these things? Would my 5 keep up with it? Im running a T2/T25 at 18psi    
Anyone had any experiences with these?

There quite quick cars, more modern and will do it all day too.

Power to weight ratio:

Corsa: 6.47 kg/hp

GT turbo: 7.08 kg/hp (with the standard 120 bhp) I chose the weight to be 850 kg.

It all depends on how tuned your 5 is. But you shold easily be able to win in power to weight ratio. So you shold be quicker than the VXR in acceleration, if you have got the skills  

Hope to hear from you which is quicker, the GT turbo or the VXR.

Thanks for responses guys, ruivar i hope that my 5 is around the 170 mark, so should be a fair shout ahead of the VXR . I would say i have average skills behind the wheel lol . I see what mark is saying though personally i'd only boot it a few times, after that i would probably give it a rest.

Haha! I think that is a good idea, mate. And you only need one try, to beat that VXR. Just keep the car as light as possible! :wink: And no wheel spin!!

There is (almost :lol: ) no better feeling than beating a modern car in the old GT turbo. I love it...

i had no trouble with the couple i raced in my old 5 i had a t25,front mount,dump valve runing at 26psi (didnt last long tho lol)

My old 5 would happily leave astra VXR's for dust, I imagine the corsa would be no different  :mrgreen:

Thats no easy task as the astra vxr is pretty nippy but Your old 5 was a bit of a weapin if I remember right!!
