I thought the Mini's used 4x100. But 13j would never fit in the arches.

Where the HELL did you get 13j from!

The StarMag's are aroun 6.5 - 7j iirc. And I am almost certain they are 4x4". You could get them to fit if you carefully drill the holes out by 0.25mm and use wobbly nuts. But it's NOT advised.

The Metro and R100 run a smaller PCD, Same as the MGTF. Think it's something stupid like 4x95 IIRC.

The PCD is 4x100, offset wise standard is 35mm but if your going for the euro look you'll be wanting lwider than 7" and poss slightly smaller offset too. Remember the wider a further you push the wheel out the arch the closer it'll be getting to the arch.

are there 17" wheels that fit under a stock gtt?  what offset would they need?

I know 205/40 will rub, but how about 195/40/17 with 35 offsett, would that work without reworking the arches?

205 40 will fit, if you are lowered at the rear you will need to shave the rear bumper & maybe the kit a little.
I've had 17's on before & my wifes old GTT had 17's on as well.

what offset did they have.  Do you have pictures?

Would they fit with 195/40s without shaving the bumpers?

I just figured if you get 17" tires that correspond to 195/50/15 dimensions on 7" wheels, that there should be no  rubbing, and no changing the inner wheelwells?

ok one more question please

I just don't won't to buy wheels that would turn up worthless...

If I get som 17 inch wheels with 40 offset, could I use some spacers to get to 35 offset, and in combination with 185/35/17 (P zero Nero, Nankang, Tyfoon, ...) could it work without rubbing?  I believe these tire have the same measurements as 15 or 16 inch tires, but it'll be harder for sure.

Anyone any thoughts on this?

Yeah, it would definitely work. I thought about this tyre size myself but I wanted to go for a smaller OD than the 195/45 15s I'm currently running so will eventually get the 165 version of this tyre. The profile is absolutely ridiculously small though. I reckon if someone was to stab all the tyres on a car with a set on it'd only drop it by about an inch max!

The 185s have a pretty minimal sidewall as well, it'll just be a matter of making sure the wheels fit well and you shouldn't get any contact:D 40mm positive offset wheels will become 35mm with 5mm spacers btw & push the wheel back out towards the arch.

On my old 5 i use to run 17" rims with Falken 205/40-17 tyres with hardly any rubbing, i didn't mod front arch's at all and only trimed inner lip of rear bumper abit and arch lip slightly too.
Car was lowered 50mm at front and 70mm at rear.

The offset of the rim was 35mm too but i think you'll find 40mm fine to use, just don't use and more than that or it'll be touching inside arch.
