anti perc fan, wise to remove?

hi,
i have been told by a few people now that the anti perculation fan is a major fire hazsard and can be very tempremental. is it wise to remove the unit or will there be any bad side affects? surely it was put there 4 a reason?
also i have bought and fitted a samco hose kit (second hand), water &boost. the main boost pipe has a T off just before the lobster inlet that goes to a elec valve on the bulkhead then leading into the anit perc fan casing, the samco hose set i bought had been cut on the T and both ends blocked with bolts (basicly closing the boost & anti perc fav valve pipes)

can anyone explain what that valve on the bulkhead does? and what the best plan of action is. many thanks. Martyn

Just ditch it matey, fire hazard.

The only thing it may help is hot starts in the summer

most will have removed it.  But I love the way it sounds when engine is turned off  :lol:

Most ask.. is your turbo spinning off?
