Thanks.  :D   I forgot to add, there has been a little more progress earlier in the week.

The welding is finished now.

Not a lot has changed appearance wise. Just a lot of work with various flapwheels and wire brushes to tidy up the windscreen surround and then a good coat of red oxide on all the bare metal.

Next i'll get to work with some filler to smooth over the rougher sections, then it's primer, paint and then finally some new glass.

Several updates.

Turns out I'm not a natural with the body filler. :( I probably applied far to much to start off with.

After a while sanding I'm roughly where I want to be, obviously I want to try and get the lines as close as possible so nothing obvious stands out.

Spent some time on it again this afternoon.

Still some areas i'm not 100% happy with but the windscreen surround is getting there, I have just placed the front wings in position to make sure the lines are ok. Nothing seems obviously incorrect just some finishing touchs now before I get the colour mixed up.

All in colour now.

I'm going to leave it 24-48 hours to fully cure then I will flatten it back polish it up. Can't wait to get the windscreen in!

Great time to test the new polisher out!

Again, the wings haven't been bolted on. I'm going to paint the inner wings and scuttle area also before it's all bolted up again.

Windscreen is now fitted. It cost a little more in the end with additional replacement seals etc but the fit is great.

A positive comment from the fitter as well, he sometimes doesn't look forward to windscreen surrounds the have been 'repaired' because particularly dodgy repairs can push the glass out or make life difficult for him but he said this is a great job and the windscreen went in without any issues.  :D

Nice repair to the scuttle panel. I worry about my car having corrosion there as I have to replace my windscreen.
