Ash do you still have that picture of your rear window with the cgb sticker on It won't show in the post about cgb sticker I'm looking to see how far down the spoiler comes on the boot bit as be removed my spoiler to find a nice hole I want the oe one to cover

I really don't know. I was just driving 'normally' down the M5.

I did however spot when it came to taking it all apart that the engine to gearbox rod was missing on this car, my guess is the weight of engine against the gearbox probably caused it, as the gearbox to engine bolts only really cover the top half if that makes sense, there was nothing to hold the lower part of the gearbox onto the engine.

Yeah i could see how that would happen, still, its very impressive. I think my piston was the worst i've done.

Oil pressure light has come on and it's rattling. I wouldn't mind if i carelessly rag it about senseless but it just gets driven normally.

Sick and tired now, check the 'For Sale' section.

The car is still for sale.

It's not getting much interest ATM, so tomorrow i'm going to pull it apart and see what's wrong with it.

Thought  it would get more interest, but i suppose it's in a bit of a 'grey' area, people usually pay more for clean ones or look for a cheap project. Mine seems to fall somewhere in the middle.

Problem found!



The drive for the oil pump is prober fubared. I slide it back into the hole and it doesn't grip at all so no wonder there was no oil pressure.

Popped one of the caps off to look at the crank/bearing and it looks fine, will check all the others to make sure but it looks like i caught it in time.

I hope those miserable buggers that didn't buy it are kicking themselves.

Will it be fixed and kept forever now?

I already have a replacement so it would be rude not to get it running again.

Assuming the rest of the bearings are ok then it will be back on the road later, it will still be up for sale but the plan now is to get it through it's MOT and revise the price.

There's no rush for it to go though.  :mrgreen:

All back together, still no oil pressure.

I just want it gone now. Sick of the sight of it.

Looking at the oil pump, it either has swarf in there or the cam gear looks the same as the old oil pump gear
Or you just may need to do an oil change & prime the oil pump as per your other thread.

Shame you sprayed it red, otherwise it would of sold the day you listed it on the bay.
