ok mate that i feel like im satto hight in the 5 ones but i dont want bucket seats want to have car seats and sit lower :(

you mite be able to do something with the subframes? i dont no, my standard seats and frames sat quite low, i mite put my standard trim back in. i will eventually be retrimming my door cards

It's currently in the garage on axel stands, got the subframe off today it's getting powedercoated then all new bushes fitted

atleast ppl can see urs when you drive past, cant do that with my bay lol.

subframe is something i could of done with removing but all the captive nuts started to spin so ended up just painting it with hammerite on the car  :oops:

The rear bolts? Absolutely sh!te those captive things they put on around the nut... I find you can just about get a spanner on the nut, but you need two people. One to hold the spanner, and one to undo the bolt.

someone beat me to mine as the bolts where rounded and couldnt quite get my welder in there lol, maybe one day i'll do it all properly but untill now its all good lol

Been a bit busy with the old 5 lately, while the weathers been bad she's been in the garage getting spoilt

Iv got a spare engine goin in that has been rebuilt, new pistons, re ground crank, ported head, new liner seals etc

My old engine had a few oil leaks the whole bay was a mess, the good thing is though it's projected the subframe and other parts from rust.



The gear box was coverd as well, a bit of gunk and elbow grease soon made a difference





After







1 of 9 shades of tungsten grey, luckily I got the rite one lol









Powder coating can get addictive





New bush's, track rod ends and ball joints





Few new parts pretty much nearly everything















Rolled her out for a wash today, couldn't bare the dust anymore







Hopefully have more progress soon, thanks for looking

very nice lots of work there im liking the detail in the carb with the gold screws etc, was that a Mk2 astra GTE in the background my m8 loves them hes been fannying around with a white one lately getting rid of lots of rot on rear arches. Keep up the good work fella.
