engine goes out...what else to replace while out?

Since I'm going to take out engine/gearbox what do you suggest to replace for sure?

Clutch? timing belt? other stuff...?

Why's the engine coming out in the first place? is it a rebuild?

If the engine is coming out it is always worth replacing the clutch if it has not been done in sometime.
I would also look at the engine mounts whilst you are there to make sure all ok,
No timing belt on the C1j it merely has a timing chain, and an alt belt which is about £10 and takes nio more than 5 mins to replace but again worth doing

Water pump may be worth a look, but be careful as some of the bolts like to sieze into the head sometimes & snap off
If you aren't splitiing the engine then don't worry about the timing chain, deffo do the clutch & maybe a lightened flywheel ?
As James said, maybe the mounts while you're there & check for oil leaks, if it looks like it's leaking from anywhere you may as well replace gaskets etc. easier when out, especially the timing chain cover & sump U seals !
