He's from Denmark, i'm guessing it gets a lot colder over there.

I don't think the temperature in Denmark is much different from the UK's. It's just that lately I've been driving most of the time on the motorways. The chill factor makes -5 C* feel like maybe -30 C*, so I reckon the wind cools more than the engine can heat?? I don't know. But the tape helps, and the water reaches a more desired temperature on the temp. scale...

Hi jonnyshaw49, it looks like we both have the same idea of what is going to happen with my car :D The spoiler is ugly, and is coming off! I have actually been looking at some turbines but I don't  know if they may be a bit too big?? But they are definately the style I'm looking for.

Yes, I can see that the two wipers are different, but I'm sorry, I don't know the origin of mine :( I can tell you that it works, though. :D

Thanks mate. In time, as soon as possible, I want it to be a semi rally car for everyday use. Some of the first things in my plan is to remove the rear spoiler, change the rear brakes, and of course lower the rear aswell. Then I'll equip a new turbo and get some other alloys before summer. These things and some other minor jobs are what I'm going to do in the nearest future :D

Hi mate, thanks for your research :D  I have actually been looking at the Pirelli P alloys before. They look extremely nice, but at only 14" they may be a bit too small. I dont know!! I won't exclude them yet, though. The teardrop VWs are also great looking! One of my biggest problems is that I don't know which size alloys I want, only that they must be 14", 15" or 16".
which size do you use?
