t28 idea and 285 cam is out the window for now got alot more important things to spend my money on in the next 2-3 months, the car is going into gt motorsport on the 8th feb to have all the new bits fitted along with the ported head , ktec downpipe and gt motorsport machined/enlarged turbo elbow

nice little project there mate, so did the previous owner not bother with a skim or something? what a pikey if he didnt! tbh £180 is so cheap man thats why i love these little old cars co much, if it were a honda that would probably be gettin on for £400

took a few more pics of my car last weekend this was just after id topped the ag high def wax up on it (light was not the best)

also got a pic of the ported/bored turbo elbow that mark at gt motorsport is doing me my car is up there now and should have it back today iv had all the fuelling set up by wideband he tells me it was running very lean so good job its being set up ill let you know what alterations he made to the carb etc when i speak to mark 2nite.

bloody hell guys its been ages since i been on here and updated this thread

so ill cut to the chase and tell you whats been bought and going on

bought the following

universal fmic intercooler kit

 

aem wideband kit



new rad hoses



header tank to heater matrix hose Sfs

cat cams 285 cam, vernier and springs
carb jetted to run 20psi
rear strut brace
3 plasma gauges boost,oil pressure and oil temp

the car has been faultless even been using it over these winter months ian nixon set it me up at 16psi and stuck new pistons liners and gaskets in there for me as they had seen better times.

taking the car up to gt motorsport this coming friday to get the fmic, wideband kit and plasma gauges fitted, will also stick the rad and heater matrix hoses on while am there. all being well next month will get my rebuilt t25/t2.63 with t28 wheel and cosworth comp housing back and fitted along with the carb and 285 cam

my bloody clutch looks like its giving up so thanks to steveL i will have a replacement once i pay for it next thurs am also hoping get a l/b flywheel on there

iv decided not get the work done on my car this month due to the clutch deciding its had enough and becoming virtually impossible to get into 1st or reverse lol

so iv already bought an uprated clutch from steveL and am looking into a l/b flywheel courtesy of big jim racing, iv re booked my car in for the 16th of next month so i can have all the following done

fit new clutch and lightweight flywheel
fit new rebuilt t25/t2 .63 turbo (t28 pulsar wheel and cosworth comp housing)
fit fmic
fit 285 cam,vernier and springs
fit aem wideband kit and plasma gauges
fit new rebuilt carb jetted for 20psi and check fuelling is spot on

should make for a total different car once done

Looking good matey, with the extra bits it will be very different when you get it back on the road.  The AEM AFR kit is a very good matey I use the same one and can't fault it.

Are you building it yourself or is Big Jim doing the work for you?

big jim is just doing the l/b flywheel for me then am taking it up to gt motorsport to get the work done, quick question is the clutch and flywheel an engine out job ? if so it makes it easier fit the cam at same time

yeah i reckon ill be rather impressed when its all set up 200bhp maybe?? we will wait and see

Yeah engine out matey, all though you can do them in the car it is a right bugger to do

200bhp Not sure on that turbo at it's part T2 I assume the rear side so that will be the restrictive part.
