homemade flamer kit?

hi,this might sund stupid but im thinking about wiring a flamer kit to my brothers civic. we have a coil but cant get it to spark good. its a moped coil and just a normal plug we get tiny little crackles. Has anyone done one before? if so how? lol cheers

You need a very rapid on-off switch/module thingy on the coil so that the spark plug is constantly 'lit up'.

Not sure where you get them from, or what there called.

ahh ok i was touching it on a bolt and was getting tiny sparks. ill have a look 2moz up maplins see what they have cheers

when i made one for my old car i used a mk2 xr2 coil and it worked perfectly on a switch

i got my module from evolution foundry, used a ford fiesta rs turbo coil, old plug from the 5 and a lead from halfords...

Depending on the car/tune, sometimes you can get away with fitting a small piece of wire/small nail at the end of your tail pipe. As time goes on it heats up and ignites any vapour.
