Is this clutch any good?

Just bought this clutch from fleabay, will it be any good? I'm only running about 140bhp and will only ever be putting about 165bhp through it.

If it's a load of shite then it's no real loss as I need the release bearing anyway.

does it matter what bHP? as im looking at getting mine but obv intend on making mine to around 160-180. i seen most volvo 440 1.7 clutchs wi the right spec n same as the r5 with bhp at 120 n diameter of 200 are arnd £45. or shud i be looking at a clutch that allows more bhp thru it ? this post has got me slightly puzzled now bout what to look at when getting 1

I suppose it can depend on the quality of the friction material of the clutch just like better brake pads are the same size as normal ones but stop you better different clutches can be the same diameter but not necessarily the same grip, it also depends on the strength of the spring in the clutch cover plate.

Most people on here will recommend the valeo clutch for the renault 5 from GSF as it is proven to hold up to 200bhp, so I'm told :-)
The clutch for the Volvo 440 turbo engine also fits the non turbo 1.7, the 1.7 GTX Renault 5 and a few other different engines. I hope someone in the know reads this thread and can enlighten us.

All I really want to hear is that a 1.7 Volvo clutch will probably be stronger than the OE renault 5 turbo clutch

part number is R-801015 and it's £67

it's meant to be very good for the money, I would have bought one if I wasn't so skint. Standard clutch on my car seems to be good for at least 1 Bar of boost.

even tho im wanting it to run @ like 160-180 bhp i only want it to run arnd 9-11 PSI as its a daily use car
