carb an boost ??

can like i take  my 5 2 a normal garge an have it set up it sems two be using fuel like mad but it has a t28 but i wont it al set up so it like a every day 2day car plz   help :roll:

u need a garage with a rolling road really or u can by a wideband controller an set it up urself. the first thing u need to do is find out wot main jet u have fitted, its probably got some stupid size to compensate for the t28 but if ur gona change the jet for a smaller one u need to reduce the boost level so u dont run lean.

you dont want to overfuel it you want the correct afr. unless your running a large amount of boost it should be easy. if your near bedford or prepared to travel i can put you in touch with a lad i know who sets 5's up on his rollers. some of the rtoc lads on here will know him as tommyb i can give you his details if you need

um dont no wich way 2 go wid it i bort the car for the lucks an wont 2 use it every day jst it drinks fuel like hel  caN I GET A T28 2 RUN gud i no it wi use a bit mre but this is a joke u can put 2o ppound in a lukey 2 get 40 miles before light is back on i jst thort maybe it jst needs small jets but would it run wid the turbo or is it best 2 sell the t28 an go standerd turbo size thanks 4 all the help  :P

its very simple set the carb up and see if that sorts the consumption out. also the fuel tank has a yellow bung on the side of it common for leaking so its worth givin that a check.

it was a snap on like square bow wid a pipe that goes in the back box an give out a reading sory probalye more 2 it than that but u get the jist  :o rite bk it sems 2 tick over mint nw  dnt no wether 2 take it 2 cgb still jst 2 check

idule but dun like 60 miles jst an the gage ant hardley moved 4 got 2 say it jst had a new head the old 1 had a slight crack in it would that of made it use fuel it like the proper first run it had since that

if its had the head done it would have been different symptoms to using to much fuel. the carb would have just had the mixture setup for idle when its driven it uses a different circuit within the carb so this would also need to be setup thats more in depth than setting the mixture
