well a friend of mines gotta problem with his fiesta no power to his fuel pump , relays , and fuses and wiring is fine ,were just wondering what it could be

im presuming your using a multimeter and the key is ignition live do you get power to it when you crank it

multimeter = the thing that lights up am using , sorry Electrics are not my strong point , its not getting power full stop mate , ! am , well about 5 of us are baffled one day was working next nothing

really you need to be measuring voltage getting to it. does it just have a possitive and negative terminal. did you try it when cranking and when igition live

ok 1x live  3x earths , tried to test with it crancking over , absolute nothing somes ones said it possibly could be the fuel cut of switch preventing a current from being passed through due to faultyness ? bull **** or truth ??

that is possible. you need to trace the wires back a bit of a pain but its the only way.  if it has the facility to turn air bags off with a kry try that as that also a safety function if you have hit a bump it may have triggerd the sensor.

arghhhhhhhhhh richie mate uve stumbled on some thing , his shock was loose last week and well around here speed bumps are over common , could this have triggerd a reaction from excessive banging ?

ok we spent an hour messin about , were we put a direct live ,and earth onto the fuel pump , still nothing am guessing hes going to have to replace his fuel pump?

sounds like a dogy pump mate same thing happened with my brothers then he replaced it and broom it was alive once agean

yeh trouble is he doesnt know he needs a cossie pump yet lol  because of his OFAB management , bummer
