350z or S2000?
« on: 14:22, Tue 23 June 2009 »
Hi guys, i was just after your opinion on which motor you would rather have.
both 04 plate
both around 15K
350z near the 300hp mark
S2000 near the 200hp mark
I went and tested the S2000 the other day and i have to say the V-tec impressed me, but for 5K you can get a twin turbo kit for the 350Z bringing it to nearly 800hp
I have yet to test a 350Z

Opinions please gentlemen
Mark

The convertibles definatly, i ask because for as long as i can remember i have wanted a 300zx tt but recently discovered the tt kit for a 350z.
obviously it'll take me a bit longer to save for a 350 but my friend and i test drove the s2000 and now hes thinkin of swapping his skyline r33 for one. It was impressive but not that impressive, and i say if he is going to do that at least try the 350

Yeah theyre pretty nice, its the 200sx and the 300zx i love the most though.
I think he actually wants to spend a fair amount of money, hes only 21 and wants to show off :D
and a 2 seater sports car is the way for him.

Hi guys, I have a 350z (and an R5) and a friend of mine has an S200 and the s200 is a great piece of kit but I'd definitely (as I did) got for the Zed. Its actually got some torque unlike the s2000 that needs its nuts revving off before it moves.

Both great cars though 8)

Yeah thats what we found out.
I had convinced him in the last few months to go for the zed.
He was all for it, then he saw you can get supercharger kits for the S2, so were back to square 1

Dave said to me last week about getting a 350Z. I'm not a fan personally.
Told him to save loads and just buy a GT Turbo

You can get supercharger and turbo kits for the Zed though too. There are quite a few supercharged ones but not too many twin turbos.

If he wants mega power he's best to not get a zed nor an s2000 and by a car with forced induction and stronger internals already like an evo or a scooby.

Too late, hes just bought a black s2000. its a nice one though, completely standard. I think hes gonna get a supercharger eventually.
