rear brake calipers from a citreon

hi does anyone know if the rear brake calipers from the citreon xzara are the same as the 5 gt turbo. ive had a look at some on a car in the scrap yard and the look exactly the same? any help would be much apreciated :)

i belive they are mate same as pegeot ones to,
walked in halfords for pads, hb 337 for those who wanna know, opened the packed and had 5/6mm of pad i was like fucking hell, i know times are hard but my pads arent even as thin as them! then looked on the back and said citroen and pegeot, not reno 5 mind!!

asked at the desk for ferodo ones and they were like, mm we dont know, we never know whats commign in
then offered me the same (15) for 31 direct from the warehouse, i was like so YOU havent got it on the shelf, you wont order it but wanna charge me double to order it in, i dunno y i bother, i always have hated halfrauds but that takes the biscuit, she then jokenly says ah you need to shop else were then, so i promptly walked out, grr they fucking make me sick

Theres very little friction material on rear brake pads. ~5mm sounds about right.

As for the original question they probably are the same. Bendix and Girling calipers are very common on may different French cars.

if u get a trade card for halfords they're quite good especially on the halfords own stuff. i went to get some heater plugs for my mates car an they were 24 normal price, 10 trade lol

yeh rear pads on the 5 are really thin,as for chavfords there a rip off i try and stay well away,place on ebay called yb racing you can get uprated front and rear pads for around 40 bucks delivered,which is cheap!!!, citroen saxo vtr has the same rear calipers aswell :wink:

if you buy s/h make sure the bleed nips are free as thay snap
