engine swap in my astra o4 plate van

ive herd that a 2.2 turbo deisle  will fit strait in
but dont know from wich car  any advice

renault shell, custom cage, no dash, volvo engine, nissan turbo, apexi boost controler, ksm re-wire, persision automotive down pipe, dta engine management to come.  175 BHP 220 LB/FT torque

Vectra most likely i would of thought.

Most Vauxhall engines you can swap about quite easilly from what i've read.

I had a vectra gsi msd and i was planning on doing the same thing it will fit and the dash and door cards etc..
also join migweb its a vauxhall owners web site you will get loads of help and info on there.

the redtop and v6 lumps are a rite pain to do in a mk4 astra but if you are going for a disel out of a vectra you will need to change the box unless you want to be makeing gearbox mounts

c20xe = 2.0 16v n/a
c20let= 2.0 16v f/i

beast engine to fit a mk4 astra would be a z series engine as put in the mk4 ie

z20xe = 2.0 16v n/a
z20let = 2.0 16v f/i

there modern engines and were relaesed to co inside with the mk4's launch so will be a straight swap mount wise although wiring looms will need swapping and fuel tank if yours is a diesel now,

the older redtop (so called by the red plug cover with 90 degree bend in and also called c20xe) does fit although this engines was originally fitted to the astra gte 16v and early mk3 gsi's, calibras and cavalier gsi's can be fitted although not quite as easily but the engine is more readily available but most are 100k plus nowadays

never heard that the vectra dash and door cards fit? i'm assuming you mean with lots of work
