If it's a laptop then theres usually some sort of software for the trackpad (or whatever there called)

Maybe have a look at the software that came with it?

Try an external usb mouse. This will then allow you to do various checks (anti virus, driver,  software etc to establish what is wrong. Once it is fixed then you can then revert to in built mouse.

Mouse won't work either i can't click on anything to get it to find the device.. :(

It's a right PITA to do it by using the tab all the time !

try a system restore back to say a week ago or just before your mouse stoped working
it could be to do with the system updates mate messing things up as this was the problem with a mates laptop

Tried that already, didn't work, i think it picked up a virus or something as it went into security mode & then got stuck with loads of pop up screens from the security page, i managed to get into the thing & deleted cookies & the security program, i think i may have deleted something i shouldn't have & now i can't find any discs either so i can't format the drives either :(

LOL!

I spent the last few days talking to myself into my headset for online gaming.

Didn't realise it was on mute! :D
