i recently brought some new rims, just wondering if theres any one on the site that has had these fitted or nos any one that has

what spacers u used and did u have to do any work to the calipers

My neighbours got some fitted to his Polo, they look quite nice i think.

You didn't have to mess with the breaks (if you got standard) the guy on the site told me my calipers would get in the way

and wheres the best place to get spacers from (hoping to go to a shop so i don't have to wait for postage  :oops: )

i bought my 5 with them on. im not sure wer to get the spacers from? probably a good alloy wheel shop? the spaces should bring the wheel away from the calipers. my calipers havent been touched... :?

right so ive never had to fit new rims to any car before, and am not to sure how to go about it, how do i know what size spacer i want  and how to measure it

Your local Halfords should stock wheel spacers, maybe some other motor spares place?

There universal fit so you don't need to worry about the bolt holes lining up. It will be obvious when you see them, and they do them in different thickness.

One thing to bear in mind is you might need longer wheel bolts depending on how far out you need to space the wheels.

Unlucky, i binned some spacers a couple of months ago because i thought they would be no use.

gunna wait a while till i get a bit more cash get em coated in white with mayby a dash of white, and if they look a bit shit then ill sell them,  :oops:  are they rare rims or just classics

I don't think there rare exactly, there just very popular with R5's. VW owners seem to like them as well.

all good then, and i meant to say a sprayed white with a dash of red, ither in the ring around the edge or even on the inside of all the little squares

o got the rims fited only had to used some 5 mill spacers, and realisd that one of the threeds on one of the hubs has been striped

i agree they arent really rare but are very hard to get hold of a good set because most people get them refurbed and then sell them on for £250+ if you look hard enough you can get a cheap set but most peolpe just want to keep a hold of them for years lol
