Quarter Mile times.

Quarter mile times here, PM a mod or LEE to add a time in, times from slips only will be added so you need to send a pic of the slip as proof !!
Also add a small spec list of turbo, intercooler, use of nos/slicks etc. You can send bhp figures as well if you like, i'll start with my old car from last year.

I used to rev the car to about 5500 & either dump the clutch or feed it in till it bites & then dump the rest if you get what I mean, as soon as you get grip, floor it basically..

But decent tyres help ALOT !!

Low profiles are no good really as the tend to tramp & not flex to aid grip.

or 15's with a taller tyre wall, then let them down a bit on track, something bigger than a 45 profile, but then you run the risk of the tyre rubbing on the shocks or kit :(
13's with a 55 or 60 prfile would be better or some 15" M&H drag slicks..... not cheap but will knock a full second at least off that time i reckon.
I went over to 14" mickey thomson drag slicks & my time dropped from 14.01 to 12.78 in a matter of about 5 runs.. I dropped straight into the 13's, then a cheeky jet change in the carb saw the 12's

They would be ok but he needs 15" at least as I think he has the big brakes on...
Try Andy Robinson Race cars, they import drag slicks, you cazn get dot radials or pure drag slicks from them, depends if you are going street class or not.

Ask away... :)

Ps Yoko A048 wont work as a drag tyre, you prob can match them with a budget tyre to the 60ft... the best starter drag trye for the GT will be the 20" MT..... The MTs are capable of 1.7 60fts with a nice setup and a good torq range...

Both, but you can't run full slicks on the road, the closest is the Yoko AO48' or similar but they are soft & won't last long, they will also be dicey in the wet..
