Campus to GTT

I was just thinkin that they stopped making R5 turbos but kept making campus' for ages, has anyone ever got a campus, gutted it and put it back together as a turbo,
Cus then they would have a newer shell,
Is it even possible?

It is possible. And there has been lots of discussion about it.

I thought about doing it with my old 5 GTS. However, I just went a brought a 5 Turbo.

If you want to have a project, this would be a good one.  However it could be a money pit.

I could see people saying, if your going to do that then why not do it to an actual gtt and restore it

I've heard campus shells fare better corrosion wise. Maybe it's the lack of bodykit for water to get trapped in?

well thats what i was thinking, its like getting a new shell (if you get a nice one ofcourse) then building a new 5gtt

i rekon if u were to change a campus to a turbo it should be left to look like a campus - less hassal from plod and dick heads, and more fun at traffic lights

that thought has gone through my head so much, i have a campus on the drive that i gave to my lil bro, he barely uses it, i rekon i could do the transfer and he woldnt even notice, until he drove it ofcourse

i hoping that most of u have seen the jackass film, when they get the old peopls faces in latex and go on the rampage well get that done a drive the campus sleeper, or just drive ya normal 5turbo around wearing the face... would be funny az  :twisted:

Wear a baraclava with some eye holes or a stig helmet.

That would be funnier i think....imagine the peoples faces while you wait at the lights.

ive actually driven around in full ski gear in the middle of summer, goggles n everything, cant think why, must have been a dare
