The carpet will be the same, yes :) (provided it came from a 3 door)

The fit will be the same, but the quality won't.  GTT's were fitted with nice, plush carpet, with more pile.
Been around these cars for too damn long!

I was going to mention this, however my experience doesn't go much further than Campus's and GTT's, so I couldn't comment on GTX carpets. Campus carpets feel quite a lot cheaper than GTT ones.

Thanks for mentioning that, although the reason i ask is i have found a company that provide brand new replacement interior carpets, the only template they have for the 5 is 2dr GTX model.

You can choose what quality of carpet you want and the sort of backing as well plus there is a fairly broad colour range.

Got come samples coming so will post up a couple of pics if anyone else is interested.

Looks like it will be 109 odd for the latex backed carpet and 149 odd for the hessian backed.

There is a man made carpet available and an 80/20 wool mix.

Keep you posted.

will these carpets actually be a 1piece carpet like original ones.?
the reason i ask is that a few yrs back i thought id buy a carpet from a company and it came in 2 parts and was a crap fit :( i sent it straight back
When its time to go,it really is time to gooooo

I am awaiting a copy of the template because that was one of my reservations - if it comes in several parts then fit will be poor.

Once i receive a copy of the template i will let you know.

Yeah the samples have arrived and quality seems very good.

With regards to the template i have been told it comes in 2 parts and is not a 1 piece item.

The company is  -

www.carcarpets.co.uk

Company is called Coverdale, their customer service departement has been very helpful so far.
