sod it am just gunna buy that intercooler looks the tits mate

remember though....

with the 550x140x65, you dont have to chop crossmember, and can mount further back, all you have to do is take abit off towing eye bracket

with the 550x180x65, you need to cut lower strip off crossmember, and trim towing eye bracket. it wont sit to far back so will be tight against back off bumper, and fogs will have to be squeezed in but is possible

:D  good good. but look on steves guide, i mounted it the same as his, and cut crossmember pretty simerly to his.

I wish i new all this 1st, have got loads of silicone left over, and 4 45degree silicone bends etc lol

yer by all means add this to steves as it shows how to pipe it in

Very helpful thread this is, just ordered my FMIC, its 550x175x65 i was going to go for the 140mm one but may as well pay the extra 5 for the bigger one, dont mind doing a bit of cutting :D

Thanks james

just came across this thread again, no probs guys! I ended up changing the 90 degree bends off the cooler to metal pipework - this way its thinner and fogs can be put in. Heres how mine now looks

Has anyone fitted the smaller intercooler without having to chop the bumper or cross member?
