head gasket failure help

yes thats right ive ridden my luck , after owning 3 renault 5's the dreaded happend finally yes you guessed it   HEADGASKET failure nooooooo noooooo my question is why the hell do cars run so nice before going bang lol anyway i found the cause the top rad hose was split down the bleeder nipple about half an inch long, outcome = GUTTED lol

it didnt reach the last lines , i turned it of just before they started , had it towed home ,

i want to start the stripping down asap , have a couple of questions need help with ,

first cgb headgasket group A set and there high tensile head bolts are they good quality ?

if i take the head of  the car and have the car towed will this cause any damage or this safe to do ?

Theres nothing wrong with the bolts and gasket set sold by CGB i use them with no issues. There not 'made' by CGB, there just supplied by them.

If you take the head off and tow the car make sure you don't put it into gear at all, otherwise you will turn the engine and lift the liners out causing extra work. Might be worthwhile using bolts and large washers to hold the liners in place anyway.

cool ive never used cgbs thats all , and maybe ill just strip the head after ive towed it probs so much easyer lol
