Renault 5 dimma replica
« on: 13:32, Fri 02 January 2009 »
Hi, my latest project is a 1.2 Renault 5 Dimma rep. I've just collected the car and it has cracks in the bodykit, Turbo 2 wheels, Clio 16v style bonnet, a blown 1.2 engine, no carpet, campus interior and is in very poor shape. All parts are with the car but it has no headlights or back lights fitted, no font bumper fitted. I have the perfect opportunity for an engine conversion and have plenty of time to do it. All comments welcome and am happy to sell the car or parts for the right price at the moment but once finished will not break any parts. Any comments or advice is welcome, like advice on best engine to fit, advice on what or how to do the jobs. Car will also need a full respray, I was thinking Black or white? ? Will add some pics when I take some but for now, bye and be back soon.

Car is going in for paint next week, you think standard bonnet or clio vented bonnet? and as for colour, would you think Black or white? both r my 2 fave colours on the 5.

I'm keeping my eye open for a complete R5 Turbo as a donor car, possibly an accident jobby. I was thinking nice bright white with standard bonnet but I like the bad boy brows so might go with standard bonnet with badboy brows in bright gleaming white.

I bet those wheels are worth a fair bit.  8) I've seen Turbo 2 wheels on eBay sell for 1000 +

I think ur right to go with white paint..  it would take some perfect prep work without showing any inperfections in black and the panels arent the best to work with being made out of tin-foil,  will look good with those wheels refurbed and all clean and tidy  8)
