Regular or Super Unleaded?
« on: 14:23, Sat 25 October 2008 »
Alright Lads,

Just bought my first R5 GT and was wondering if they are best run on super unleaded or just regular 95 RON?

Any info would be much appreciated,

Nick

unleaded is ok for standard boost but if you are increasing the boost then best to run super

If you aren't running any power then 95 is fine ;)
I tested different octane ratings, the 95 ran fine untill 19 psi then it started to det, 97 was ok for 21/22psi, 99ron was best & i had that to 24psi without problems.
It would prob feel a bit quicker on higher octane fuel as it burns better but not enough that the average person would notice till you get the boost up.
