Take a look http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/list.asp?s=348 for a car you get the odd bargain on there and you will get an idea of the prices you are looking 4.

I have got a freind who has got a mint red R5 GTT on an E plate standard engine, standard interior just had a full respray looking for around 2900.00 based in Brighton (You will see his car on Pistonheads)

When i got my licence sorted (after a few bans  ) I paid 3500 to insure my 3rd GT Turbo...... TPFT !
This year i paid 600 fully comp with all mods declared (4yrs no claims, but i used a classic policy so didn't use them)

If you want the car that much you will have to pay around that, actually i'd say that was a good price.

Don't always go by the price you get quoted on the sites such as confused.com. Find the cheapest quote then ring up the company direct, chances are they will quote something even cheaper.

I'm 24 with 3 years NCB, couldn't find anything cheaper then 1000 on the 'broker' websites. Rang Churchill directly and got covered fully comp for just over 500 with breakdown cover included.  8)
