Waiting....
« on: 14:26, Fri 15 August 2008 »
As I work shifts I have had the last 2 days off work which I have spent on the PC looking for an R5 which fits what I want.

I have sat with PH, This forum, RTOC forum, Ebay, Autotrader open in a web browser but nothing really seems to be coming up for sale at the moment.

Is it due to the time of year or are there just not many little R5's left on the road??

Thoughts.......

I don't blame people for doing that but I remember recently when I was looking on Ebay at work one day there were 20 odd for sale. Today there's 9 including the twin engined one for 7.5k

Perhaps the time of year has something to do with it.

  I thought you might say that mate. I am waiting for him to post some pics up of the interior. I don't want to go all the way up there for nothing.

i was looking at buying one for a few years before i got mine. i noticed a pattern where people sell them cheaper in the winter because they can't really use them. sell them more expensive in spring as people seem to want them for summer. and in the summer people seem to keep hold of them to use them in the good british weather. then it all repeats, haha.

dunno if anyone else agrees?

Sounds like a mathmatical equation to me mate. You may be right though. I may have found one though. Fingers crossed.

I agree, the same happens with 205 GTI's.
