Carpet Cleaning
« on: 12:29, Sun 03 August 2008 »
Hey guys

I was cleaning my car yesterday and noticed how grubby the boot carpet has become. Its covered in oil stains etc etc (no blood stains tho lol) and is starting to annoy me a bit.  Anyone had much luck cleaning one up before? If yes what did you use??
cheers
Wayne

Best thing to do is remove it from the car and give it a good going over with some carpet cleaner, i also find Autoglym Interior Shampoo is very good.

Trouble is it's very thin, i think to much vigourous scrubbing would actually rub the fabric off!

Cheers guys
Tried it in the washing machine there today..  It has helped it a bit..  Still could do with some work tho..  Will look for some of that carpet cleaner from halfords and give it a go..

Pity I couldnt get my hands on some black carpet to recut one as I have the black carpet inside the car from a raider. It would look smart...

I think scratcher is onto the right idea

Found this on ebay..  It might be worth a look at too...

I need to measure the boot carpet and see if it is big enough.
