clutch release bearing
« on: 18:55, Sat 19 July 2008 »
I think my clutch release bearing is on its way out its making a rattly huming noise and when I depress the clutch the noise goes.  Should I get this sorted stright away or will it go on a while?

Normally ok for a little while, best not to leave it too long, may as well put a new clutch in as well while your there :)

I take it its easier to take the whole engine out rather than just the box or can I just drop the box out??  What is the clutch to go for heard the volvo clutch is good my car is properly only running around 140-150bhp tops.

Green box valeo, Bob @ CGB sells them :)

Look in the DIY section there is an article on taking the engine out & leaving the box in, it's sometimes easier to do it like that.
