CRANK SHAFT ISSUE'S

Can any one help !!
I have just fitted i re con crank shaft with all new shells, both big end and bearing and now finding it pretty impossible to turn the engine over by hand even though i haven't torqued up the bolts etc !!!!
Is this normal or have i cocked summit up if any one can advise please do as im worryed when i crank it over summit'l brake !!!

Not normal no, don't force the engine round, take it apart again and have another look.

Might of fitted oversized bearings, did you measure the journals first?

If the head is on with the spark plugs fitted it might be the compression thats making it a bit difficult to turn?

Right 1st things 1st, did you keep all the caps in order & replace them exactly where they came from, mains & rods ??
& is the head on as ASh says.

I do still have the head on so will try that to see if that makes any difference and i put everything back exactly as i took it off, am gonna try taking it all apart again and checking it all over.

As long as you put all the caps back onto the rods etc in the EXACT same order then you should have no probs, try turning it over with the plugs out ;)
