oil presssure?

hi i have just rebuilt my r5 turbo from buying it as it came with spun shells however i am just wondering if anyone knows what the oil pressure should be reading.when i start the car the oil pressure gauge needle moves with the revs but when warm stays at number 3 on the gauge is this normal or bad would apreciate any help thanks.

With the oil warm maximum pressure should be about 3.5BAR@~4'000RPM and no less then 0.7BAR on idle.

Oil pressure will always be higher when cold.

Standard guage isn't that accurate, use it only as an indication. If the low oil pressure light works don't drive anywhere if that lights up.

1-2 bar on idle with new oil is good oil pressure, i put some 20/50 racing oil in this time & thats what i see on idle.
You need to let it warm up & see what it's at then.

thanks for your replies how big of a job is it to fit an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, i am mechanically minded just not so good with electrics but know a cheap auto electrician fit me a full wiring looms for 60

I used a mechanical gauge & t'd into the oil feed for the turbo, demon tweeks do adapters.
