I'm Looking To Buy A R5 GTT.....
« on: 10:23, Tue 10 June 2008 »
Hello all,

My first car when I was 17 was a R5 GTX, was an amazing car for 200.

The headgasket started to go and becuase I was young and stupid I did nothing about it.....going down the A23 and pop....I then went on to 205 GTi's, I've currently got a 2L converted 205 MI16, 160bhp 140lb torque 140mph+.....

I'm now looking to buy an R5 agian, I have in the region of 4K to spend and would like some advice.

I'm looking for 200bhp+ and hopefully a very clean body shell.

Is it possible for the 1.4 engine to withstand 200bhp without issue's every 100 mile's?? (If its been built correctly etc)

Someone guide me in the right direction please.....:)

Cheers

Neil
