throttle cable help

hello people
i have just purchased a throttle cable kit from renault and it is nothing like the one on my car. the new one has a lot of plastic and rubber fittings

renault assure me that it is correct but are unsure how it is fitted!!!!

anyone else had this problem or even better got any photos of the new type set up

i could use parts of my old one and parts of the new one to get it going but would rather get it right and not bodge it

please please help and as i said photos would be great

RIGHT CHEERS FOR THAT THEN!!!!!!!!!

I TOOK MY VAUXHALL ASTRA (NEW SHAPE) TO HAVE A NEW CAM BELT FITTED AND THEY ENDED UP BENDING THE VALVES AND LEFT A BOLT IN THE INLET MANIFOLD THAT WAS SUCKED INTO THE ENGINE AND SMASHED THE PISTON

GARAGE HA HA HA....NO CHANCE

if its just your inner cable thats snapped then leave that in place and use just the inner cable out of the pack cut to size and crimp on the end

That may be what i have to do, im a bit gutted really as i paid for all the other bits but will end up binning them

To be honest the kit you get from Renault is a universal kit that was designed for all the models within the Renault 5 range + some other models so majority of the bits will not be used anyway on the GTT. I would personally renew the entire cable so at least you know it will not fail for some time.
