1.6 what did that come out of??

I have custom made pistons Bore 77 and a semi-custom made Crank with 83.4 stroke !
Compresion Ratio 8.1 : 1 on 1598 cmc with stock R5 2mm gasket and re-styled combustion chambers !

I'm still thinking with what type of turbo to charge this engine...i have a new T2 and a second T25...more middle range power versus top end power...hmm :?

I've found here a 84 Stroke Crank for the R5 at a troumenduos breath-taking pice... 1.945, 00EUR

I can suply you with the whole 1.6 UPGRADE KIT including:
83.6 NEW Crank
77 Bore NEW Pistons (including new cilinders and the thing that hold's the piston on the rod)
NEW STD Kolbenschmidt Connecting rod bearing Set
NEW Kolbenschmidt STD  Crank bearing Set
at ONLY *** Euro

Everithing will be made ready to fit,no further modifications necesary.I know now the recepy
The compresion will remain 8:1 as in standard 1.4 engine with you'r std 73.4 CilinderHead and standard HeadGasket.
An so u have a BRAND NEW 1.6cmc engine setup,that theorethical,will deliver at standard boost (0.65bar) 140 HP.Imagine this as a base for overboost !

P.S. I reckon,this setup will take me to around 160 - 180Hp @ 0.95 BAR from a T25,and i have a stock camshaft,but the bigger increase will be at the other side...the torqe ! Bigger stroke means a more torque engine so in the quarter-mile run this i hope will make a big difference !

Why do you use "safety" screws to hold piston followers?

piston followers = the cilinders ?

In that case is simple...if i rotate the crank,the followers are pushed outside the engine bloc.
And after u tighten at torque the crank-holding screws,and the piston-rod screws it's important to check how it "flows".
If it rotates hard than something is not good,and the worst is,if u have a damaged piston-rod (i've had sutch an experience on my other car,same engine after mashing up a piston-rod bearing...see pics)

After the race with a Honda HRV 4x4 with my other car,a Dacia(R12) with GTT engine :
During hard acceleration,oil-pump cought air,preasure instantly dropped and...

OK got you point. I do not have those on mine coz followers (cilinders) have more flat surface than yours- one touching next follower so there in no chance of rotating and used glue for metal and put it between folower and the block. But had bum with followers hitting the head. The head wasn't polished properly (not flat) and one follower was hitting the head and my gasket blown :oops:

They all have flat sides,so they do not rotate...
And yes,only thing that hold's them in place is the gasket's ring...
Nasty if you're head was not plane,i suppose u were not long on the way until next blow

Once i had a custom made 2.5mm gasket coverd in copper (but the ecu's vacuum vas damaged and i had massive detonations) put it on,drive one straight line at 0.8bar and...more porn :lol: :

My friends are teasing me all the time but i tell them that i do not need water injection coz my pistons are water cooled

I see you have modified the 'squish' area by having flat top pistons & a modified head,also bigger valves as well,can't wait to hear the results you get from it.

How the heck did you blow a copper gasket :shock:  must have very strong liners
