boost gauge/psi

Not sure if this is a daft question but here goes.can the original boost gauge give you a rough idea as to what paid your running?so for instance with standard boost where should the needle go to and then with the needle touching the last mark what paid does that roughly give you.thanks

Keep in mind the standard boost gauge takes its reading from the carb elbow, aftermarket gauges usually take there reading from the inlet manifold.

There is usually a difference of ~3PSI, with the carb elbow showing the higher reading.
