Renault super 5 project from Slovenia

hi this is my little project. it started live as a R5 Campus, and now she will get a engine transplant and a suspension upgrade. on the to do list is a front adjustable suspension and a widetrack swap from a clio williams, rear suspension upgrade from a clio mk1 cup racing car, full 9-point sparco rollcage, full racing interior and a 1.6e megane engine swap. also on the to do list is a flocked clio 16v dash and wiring loom. this car will be a pain staking job to do but she will be something else when she is done

my inspiration is a photoshop i made, this is roughly how she will look like when she is done:

I only have one question. Does the williams widetrack fit on the five? Has it been done before? Because i'm a little affraid it will be too wide. Any ideas?

The plan s to have it drivable in 2-3 monts i'll keep you posted on the progres

this has just come in it's the adjustable front suspension from Koni Som mods will be required since they are for a mk2 clio but i think it will work.



and some adjustable billstein rear dampers:

And she is finaly on all her 4 wheels.

Fitted thesubframe, wishbones and dampers from a clio. it was almost a straight fit. you just have to modify the front right hole on the subframe.

the car is finaly ready to go to my place so it can get worked on

in the las couple of days i have worked on my little 5 a bit

I stripped out the dash and all the interior wiriing, since clios loom and dash are going ino the car then i managed to modifie the clios engine bay loom to fit the R5's lights and side repeaters. the car needs a good washing and the subframe needs some degreasing :/ currently i can't do much work becase the bad weather

But since it was raining i had a little time to play in fotoshop and this is what came out

So tthe 5 project has moved on  bit.



The new front bumper She finaly looks as she shuld Since then i'have fitted the GTT front fenders, so the flares will fit perfectly. i just have to put the flares back together as they are in quite a bad nick.

The engine on a mk1 clios subframe, with wishbones from a mk1 megane, so the track is as wide as a Williams.



Because i did not have any sensors for the original 16v gauges, i have modified them so the holder fits the aftermarket gauges. This is what i have came up with:



And i have got the new wheels for the little five. Because RETRO is how we roll

hi guys, i'm sorry for the delay, but i have been very busy.

Ok now the fruits of my labour

I have decided, since this is a racing car, I am going with the hydraulic handbrake, but i wanted to keep the original handbrake leaver. This is what came out:



and mounted:


Then we started to work on some camber adjusting top mounts. This was a pain staking job. But i have persevered and made this:



and finished:


After that i focused on the suspension:

Front subframe from a clio cleaned and de rusted:


All welded up and test fitted the widetrack from a megane. the stabiliser bar was too long so it was trimmed to length later.

And i have managed to find a perfect back box for it too:
