« on: 20:56, Thu 28 June 2012 »
sent my turbo away for a rebuild, turns out to be totally knackered!!!
any advice on the best turbo to get now, Dont want ot too big maybe t25 max, Would prefer a slightly improved t2 to handle a little more boost, or should i just get a recon standard unit
any ideas??

If you got a standard engine and don't want too much boost a T2/T25 will do the job

t2 i'll probs go for, also i was told it was oil starvation that ruined my turbo??
what could be the problem because theres oil pressure?
maybe the oil feed pipe to the turbo is blocked??
any help appreciated. :D

How much oil pressure you have though when engine was warm?

I still use the original pressure gauge on the dash, and everything seemed ok, don't know what pressure it was at however.

Even if you have pressure if its not enough pressue it can kill a turbo still, contaminated oil can kill turbos too.
I wouod double check your oil pressure as you don't want to kill a new turbo
