Bigger turbo

What's the best turbo to run on my gt apart from the t2 it comes with ?

Not the Rover T25's.

I went through a few of these, laggy and not really suitable for high boost (read they just fall apart after a while)

I personally use a GT Tuning's HE5B which is a T25 sized turbo and it's very responsive (i run 22PSI)

What you got to deside is what boost you want to run, how you want the engine to respond and also whats the spec of your engine already

I have run t2 , t2.25 , t28 , and VNTs

Every turbo has a different characteristic !

Well I'm building the engine 1.4 back up so was going to update as I go and just trying to find out what would be best to put in to it ?

If you sticking with standard cam then i wouldn't go any bigger than a full T25, maybe go for T25 with T2 rear housing this will be nice and responsive but still be able to flow some boost
