Mtxl gauge
« on: 18:36, Sat 22 October 2011 »
Fitted my gauge kit and been out in the car but I'm not sure what the readings should be as it's up and down like a yoyo. At idle it's between 11.9-12.3, when I'm accelerating slowly up to about 30 it goes to about 13-16 when it's at a constant 30 in 5th it drops down to about 10.4-11.6 on full boost(0.8 bar) it's 14.4 haven't been faster than 30mph as I'm scared to break the car.  Should the figures be so random? And any ideas on what they should be roughly? It's running on this engine a standard solex carb, turbo technics t25 hybrid and the cup mod which is about it. Any help greatly appreciated.  :?

Hi Nick.

Your idle is extremely rich.

Idle I aim for 14-15

Partial throttle I aim for 13-14

WOT on boost I aim for high 11s very low 12s

The numbers will shoot around a little.
