another turbo question stupid?

had an idea, i've got a completly knackered t2 if i used that without the the shaft fins or bearings i could block the oil feed off. still have the water pipes connected and the exhaust have the wastegate open woould it damage the engine? just for the mot? stupid or plausable?

I'm probably wrong, but without the shaft, I'd imagine the exhaust gasses would travel through the turbo to the intake side and straight back into your engine. Maybe lowering emissions, maybe causing some problems?
And with the oil feed blocked, would it not cause a build up of pressure in the crank case? Blow by, piston ring wear, oil pump problems?

I don't know if it'd do those things, just what I'd imagine might happen

If the turbo is already knackered could you not just bypass the oil feed and drive it really carefully to the MOT station?

If it's in for a retest then all they will test is what it failed on, it should be back out in 10 minutes.
