Anyone running something n/a aside from an f7r or an f4r engine? Got a c1j lump in my raider which i like but i love throttle bodies and i was debating doing a conversion over time :mrgreen:

I have seen a GTX engine with bike carbs on, could try mod it to fit throttle bodies on. Instead of using the 1.7 GTX engine you could fit the Laguna 2l lump instead.

I'm thinking of something totally different, since seeing that 5 with a k20 honda engine in it's had me thinking, personally i love ae86's they're just out of my price range at the moment, love the 4age 20v blacktops, itb's standard and they sound decent it's just fitting and wiring although if it came down to it i'd be willing to get stuck in and learn abit

There was a shell at CGB Motorsport once, it had all the rear welded up to accept a Rover V8.  :lol:

there was a vag powered 5 in pistonheads last year ,guy was wanting 9000 gs for it had a spec sheet not handy !!!! think it was mag featured aswell 350 horses ,niiiice

That'll be Minty from the RTOC. That car is rediculous. Over taking M3's round the outside on massive bends at Mallory!

I'm still waiting for an SR20 conversion in a 5. I wish I had the money and knowlege to do it.

sr20 would be very interesting , my friends probably got the knowledge to help me with engine mounts he just hates renaults with a mass amount of sarcasm added on top haha he's an oldschool ford guru

Fitting any sort of engine in the engine bay is the easy bit, the hard bit is connecting it up to work thats the challenge.  :wink:
