Which clutch should I buy?

Hi,

I am going to buy a new clutch. I want an uprated one this time.

But which one do you reccomend? There are lots of different clutches on the market and prices really differ as well.
I would say it has to fit an engine output of 150-180 bhp.

The usual Valeo Volvo 480 turbo clutch will do you perfectly mate, don't go for the Sach's one its not very 'uprated' at all

I find you don't have to use that, to be honest it comes down to personal preference. I've never used one, yeah the valeo clutch is abit bitey without it but for some reason it feels little too soft with the extension fitted. But thats just me    :wink:

I would like the clutch to be some what bitey, as that feels more racey. Soft clutches are for soft drivers :lol:
So do I need a full clutch set (3-piece) or is it enough with just the plate it self?

I just fitted the Valeo clutch that comes in the green box

from mike @ R5 gt turbo spares it has a very heavy pressure plate it almost feels like a sport clutch as its just on/off

pretty good i think mike said its good for 220bhp ?

(however i dont know if it fits the rear engined 5's)
