If  iremove the fuel line that goes to the carb will fuel freely flow from whatever it's attached to at the other end? It needs replacing cos it's burn half through!

You will only have fuel coming out the pipe when the car is running

Perc fan is now in the bin. It had been disconnected anyway so no point having it in there. The protection for the fuel line is in a pretty bad state:

I was interrupted by the ball 'n' chain before I got the fuel line off, but it aint good! How the hell do I get down there to attach the new one anyway?

That doesn't look like the correct ducting for the fuel line? It just looks like a rubber hose?

It will probably be easier to attach the fuel line from underneath the car.

yup its easier to play with the fuel pressure reg from underneath or with the osf wheel off

Got the pipe off. Not pretty:

It was melted a bit and very brittle. A little pressure and:

It cracked wide open. New one on the way. I hope the car starts again after!

Make sure to keep the new one tied up out the way of anything hot. That looks like it was an accident waiting to happen.

8mm id ring's a bell.

I know the hose that joins the metal line to the fuel pressure regulator under the car is 10mm id.

The pipe going to the carb is a touch smaller, so 8mm id sounds about right.  :idea:

I measured it, it was 6mm id. Just got to fit the new on e now.

Fitted new pipe this morning. Got car running again. 10 minutes later discovered that I did'nt quite clear the manifold and burnt a hole in the new pipe! New new pipe now routed weel out of the way and all is well.

I normally route pipe up against or behind the brake resouivor pipes so it says clear from the manifold.
