Different distributor?
«
on:
20:26, Tue 02 August 2011 »
As my ht leads were corroded solid in the dizzy cap I ordered new leads and cap. The cap dont fit. All the ones I have looked at since are the same as the one I recieved, so why is mine different?
New one on the right:
Not happy cos I was hoping to get the car running today.

Mine have always been orange.

I wouldn't try and force it too much, that little spring loaded carbon piece in the centre of the cap snaps really easily.

The old one secures on with 2 clips, whereas all thee others I've seen and the new cap have 2 holes in.
Bought a distributor and cap off Dean so back to that at hte weekend. Gonna have a go at the exhaust today, and the dash, and maybe the rad!

The new one looks like the correct rotor. I've never seen the other shape before
I've got a new cap and arm in my glovebox, i'll measure the ID on mine.
